The Cool Change

It's no secret, the source of happiness that I have now is way, way refined from where I used to draw it from.   Ever since, I will always try to put on a happy face no matter what the condition of my heart is.  I believe it was a gift because I can’t do that alone. God perfected that gift of a joyful heart and disposition.  God led me to a healing process as I felt a deep calling to live out His commandment to love my enemies.  I heeded His call to do it.  I’ve had tough times in the process but the freedom and love for God and myself that happened after it is worth all the struggles.

God freed me from my pain, my self-pity, from low self-esteem, my past hurts, too much pride, selfishness, envy and my distorted image of love. He guided me to a point when I know the real meaning of love.  Love for myself and full acceptance of my strengths, weaknesses and uniqueness. I’ve come to know my real worth through His eyes.  He guided me to a point when I came to really know and felt the power and greatness of His love.  His love that enables me to love others especially my enemies.  His love that takes me on a journey of a lifetime of refinement, never tiring to perfect my spirit to become holy for Him.  His love that is enough for me to let go of my comfort zone and trust His guidance.
